Selecting The Right Grout For Your Tile

Grout is an important part of your tile floor. Grout comes in many variations, chemistries, sanded or unsanded and colors. It is usually a cement or epoxy based material that is used to fill between the tile spaces.

The most common delineation of cement based grout are sanded and unsanded. Cementitous grout Stain resistance can also be enhanced through the use of a latex additive, often added to strengthen the grout, reduce water absorption or to enhance its movement capability to better resist cracking. This will also improve the color retention which can degrade if cleaning with an acidic cleaner. Acids can dissolve and leach the colorants from the grout. This type of grout only comes in black and must be installed by a professional. This type of grout is often used in laboratories and industrial projects.

The phrase “use it or lose it” definitely applies to your memory. Make time to engage in activities that require you to recall information, such as crossword puzzles, learning a new skill or reading. Teaching someone else is also a good way to make active use of your memory and prevent it from becoming rusty.

Use regular study sessions over a period of time rather than a single cramming session. Studies have shown that if you study material over a course of a few days, you have a better chance of remembering it than if you cram in a single night.
